Message I replaced mine with a 180A alternator from BNR at eBay. It was a drop in, no mods required to install and so far I have been more than happy with it . It was able to keep up with the power consumption at idle even with two H.O. amps blasting at full power, a Taurus efan and everything electrical running. The only mod I would suggest is to run a fused high quality 8 guage non copper clad wire parallel with the factory or a fused 4 gauge non CCA wire to replace the factory. I would run that mod even on the factory alternator and you would see an improvement.
